3. Extension of Student Visa(D-2) for Registered Students


If the student wants to extend visa, the stduent must apply for permission before the period of stay expires.

Application Period

Application for visa extension (length of stay) can be made two months before the expiration date to the local Immigration Service.

* If the applicant fails to apply within the time period, the individual will pay a penalty.

Place of Application

Immigration (branch) office in the area where the applicant resides

Application form, Passport or Entry permit for foreigners, Foreigner’s ID card

Certificate of registration

transcript of academic record

Proof of financial capabilities

Proof of residence (ex. rent agreement)

receipt of tuition payment
