The Industry-University Technology Cooperation Exposition is an industrial festival KPU holds with its partner companies every year.

KPU is the first university in Korea that has been annually staging a national-level exposition since 2001, aimed at competing for technological excellence via university-industry collaboration. The event provides a precious opportunity to discover and display the creative innovations of students and the ingenious joint inventions of students, professors and partner companies. The exposition has displayed more than 2,000 works, of which 527 were awarded prizes, including 13 that received the Prime Minister¡¯s Award. The scope of participants has extended to small and mid-sized companies in the area, so that the event has emerged as the most up-to-date contest for innovative industrial technology.

Killing two birds with one stone : Students can earn credits and prepare for their careers at the same time through KPU¡¯s Field Training Program credit system.

Students can earn credits for joining KPU¡¯s Field Training Program during the semester or vacation at companies that signed an agreement for university-industry cooperation with KPU. This system attracts positive responses from students as they can earn credits and prepare themselves for employment at the same time. In addition, students are given the opportunity to visit leading companies overseas for a broader view of the industrial world if they receive excellent assessments by the CEOs of KPU's partner companies.

C©÷(Creative Convergence) Field Training Program.

In order to produce individuals who understand the industrial field and can be deployed immediately after graduation, KPU requires all students to take at least 4 credits from its Field Training Program and then pass the ¡°Capstone Design¡± Program, which demands they plan and make products on their own - instead of submitting a graduation thesis. Since 2014, KPU has been beefing up efforts to help students get a job or launch their own start-ups by introducing the C©÷ Field Training Program, which is essentially a combination of the mandatory Field Training Program and the Capstone Design Training Program.
