Science Fiction Film: Imagining the Future

Science Fiction Film: Imagining the Future provides students with a chance to familiarize themselves with various questions and themes that have fascinated science fiction filmmakers throughout recent history. We will cover questions related to technological development as well as questions related to the impact of technology on society. Students will be expected to actively participate in group discussions in classroom and/or online. Performance in the course will be evaluated through a mix of discussion questions, bi-weekly multiple choice quizzes and a final exam in essay format.
